Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Dry Gin 50cl
£48.50
£97 per litreProduct information
Admittedly, it appears somewhat eccentric to claim that a recipe for gin has the power to unite great British traditions, the exoticness of India, and the purity and nativeness of the Black Forest. And yet it is precisely this eccentricity that defines the enigmatic character of Montgomery Collins, from whom our Schwarzwald Dry Gin originates.
A good third of the 47 botanicals for this special gin come from the Black Forest and are definitely not what you would call typical gin flavorings! These handpicked ingredients, prepared in extremely soft spring water from our own Black Forest source, give the unrivaled complexity and quality to MONKEY 47, whose piece de resistance is the use of local cranberries as some sort of "secret weapon" typical to the Black Forest.
Whether with tonic, as a sling, martini, or gimlet, the unique and complex taste of Monkey 47 is an ideal basis for both classics and more eccentric cocktails.
Monkey 47 & Tonic: 50ml Monkey 47 Dry Gin, equal parts Tonic & Soda Water, garnish with a grapefruit peel.

Great gin but not for everything
This is a very flavourful gin with a high alcohol content and way more flavour than your standard gin. This means it's great for sipping straight or with a plain tonic, but it's too much for some cocktails where it overpowers other ingredients.
worth it
Just amazing. Try it with a slice of plum - perfection
amazing
I know its expensive but this is the best gin Ive ever had definitely wont be buying any other
Unique flavour and excellent balance
This is a beautiful gin with a carefully blended, well-balanced mixture of flavours. I love that no one flavour dominates; each time you take a sip you pick up different notes. I enjoy it with tonic but it's best with a plain tonic, flavoured ones affect the taste too much for my taste.
First time buying \x26 won\x27t be the last!
This is a gin with class! For me there was no dominant botanical and this is what makes it such a fab drink as there are so many different flavours to pick up and taste. I drank it with a slimline tonic and it was a delightful drink, think if paired with a flavoured tonic it would ruin the experience of tasting the different botanicals it is made from, Really excellent quality and have drunk most of this bottle already so will need to buy another one soon!
Star quality
The beautiful box, stylish bottle and sophisticated taste make this gin an attractive choice. There are lots of botanical flavours to enjoy.
