What's So Good About...?
Bulgur wheat is a quick-cooking grain with great texture and a light, nutty taste that makes it an amazing carrier of flavour. It really lets spices sing and is lovely with lemony flavours, hence why it's so popular in the Mediterranean.

Preparation and Usage
This lovely salad is incredible as a side dish with roast or stewed lamb, or a fillet of juicy grilled fish. It's also wonderful spooned into a wholemeal pitta bread with some grilled chicken or steak, fresh mint and yoghurt-add a little chopped red chilli to fire things up a bit!

Not great
Better than the rest of the range as better texture, slightly artificial lemon taste.
tastes of chemicals
The lemon flavour tastes like (how I imagine) lemon cleaning products taste. Wont be buying again. Jamies other microwave packets are better
delicious
I served this with an extra to. Of chic peas to stretch it out on the side of shawarma chicken and it was delicious husband enjoyed it too which is a surprise and will def buy again!
A pleasant side
I wouldn’t recommend having this as a whole lunch as it isn’t particularly flavoursome, but it makes a nice enough side to something more interesting. I could taste the lemon and I liked the chunkiness that the chick peas gave. I had half each time with something else, once straight out of the packet unheated, and then heated the rest on another day. Both ways equally OK. I probably won’t buy it again but it was nice enough.
Vinegary chickpeas
I was hoping for reasonably tasty and healthy quick lunch. A colleague visibly recoiled at the smell of vinegar coming from the pack. Gave it the benefit of the doubt but tasted like a bunch of grains sprinkled with poor quality 'non brewed condiment' as I think the chip shops call it. I can't normally be bothered to leave reviews but this was sufficiently horrid to warrant it. Binned.
Tastes better than it looks
Slightly odd-looking: the little pieces of lemon and apricot lose their colour, when heated at least, and end up slightly mushy shades of brown - but the flavour is enjoyable. Very mildly spiced, noticeably lemony and apricoty, it makes a great side. Interestingly different.
