these are OK bog standard cakes from my childhood. cannot understand why anyone would pay £3 a pack. just not vfm

Lovely
Taste really nice the classic cherry Bakewell has great flavours and goes really well with some tea. It’s not too sweet and the cherry and almond flavour taste fantastic. Just a note the product is not suitable for vegetarians which is a shame

Too much icing
This is a rather sweet version and a non-artisan tart, but also reasonably priced and popular everywhere. The pastry was a bit too soft around the edges. The almond flavour was good but not overpowering. I also found there to be more icing than i would have liked and would have prefered slightly more cake and slightly less icing in order to get 5 stars from me. The sponge is soft and moist and complete with the cherry on top.
