Works for me
Sometimes I prefer a plastic bottle, I use this oil for camping holidays. Judging by the greyish colour of the plastic the bottle is made from recycled plastic, so isnt that a good thing? As a cooking oil its perfectly fine, I havent tried it as a salad oil.
Napolina extra virgin is really not extra virgin
The flavour is plain, like olive oil, but not extra virgin olive oil. Then I read how tests show it isn't extra virgin olive oil.
Awful packaging
I bought this because my usual basic olive oil was out of stock. Big mistake. I didn't realise it came in a plastic bottle and the first few times we used it, any kind of grip caused bug spillages. Environmentally unfriendly and impractical in one bad packing decision. Ocado shouldn't stock any olive oil in plastic bottles, there really is no need.
Appalling. Not fit for purpose
The liquid is not clear. It contains lots of bits in it that sink to the bottom and settle an inch deep at the bottom. Disgusting. I can only presume there was a huge problem at the manufacturing plant and bits of solid olives have got into the bottles. How on earth nobody noticed is beyond me. Not fit for purpose. Dont buy.
Good olive oil
Made the swap to this olive oil as its cheaper than the bottle I usually buy. I dont find it much different in taste or quality. However, I dont like that it comes in a plastic bottle. The bottle does get floppy as youre holding it to pour, so spillages do occur. Hence three stars instead of four.
Best oil ever
Reminds me of my childhood back in the Mediterranean! Has all the characteristics my family taught me to look out for. Golden green colour, soft but distinct aroma, does not leave skin oily but hydrated and no "dirty"nasty oil marks on the clothes. Is an edible beauty secret!
