Natoora British Leeks
- We are now sourcing Leeks direct from a grower in Suffolk, right from the start of their new season. Grown without the use of chemical sprays or fertilisers.
- Most industrially grown leeks are harvested en masse as soon as they reach a certain calibre and then stored for the year.
- Throughout the season, our leeks will be picked and delivered to Natoora on the same day.
- This fundamental difference in growing methods has a huge impact on the quality of the produce.
- Grown slowly in open fields, these alliums retain their fragrance and tenderness from green tops to white roots, which are left on as a sign of freshness.

Muddy, yellow and damaged
I was looking forward to these as it was the only one that came with the long green leaves. But what a disappointment it was when the leeks came in a first of all a broken package, the green bits were broken, damaged, yellow and the whole thing from top to bottom was completely covered in mud!!?? I was shocked. How can Ocado even deliver something like this? This was such a shame because I really like Natooras products.

Huge Leeks
Bought these in a flash sale. There were three enormous leeks in the pack. They were fresh, and made a delicious soup.

Lovely fresh leeks
The leeks I received were twice the size I expected! They were fresh and firm with no wilted outer leaves. I would definitely purchase again.

Less than half edible
They were very long leeks with more than half of the length being tough dark green leaves. Delivered Friday but by Saturday afternoon the tops were already going watery. When they were trimmed down to the tender part they had become very expensive leeks.

Big Beautiful Leeks
When you've eaten your own home grown leeks these are a great alternative. Big and tasty, cut in half if they won't fit into the fridge, better still, chop, wash and store in food bags. Then they are ready to add to soup, casseroles and cabbage. Even freeze. Yum yum! Covered in mud? that is what they grow in.... just wash in cold water.
