FLAVOUR IS A FRONTIER
Natoora Organic Ripe Avocado
- We source our Avocado from different points of origin through the year, chasing the seasons.
- Avocado complete their ripening off the tree, but the longer they stay there, the more fats and oils they accumulate, enriching their flavour and texture.
- Spanish avocados get an extra month of ripening, because there is no month of sea freight to factor in, and they arrive with us within days of pick in Cadiz. It is important to appreciate that the texture of this particular fruit is different: like butter at room temperature, which is not overripe, but how avocados should ideally be eaten.
- We're currently seeing exceptionally high oil levels in our avocado, which is very desirable and characteristic of peak season fruit. This can sometimes cause reddish streaks to appear around the stone when it is cut. This is not a sign of poor quality, rather of great quality. Any superficial redness disappears into the avocado flesh when it is mashed so will not affect the bright colour of your guacamole.
Take it further
- Sliced thin, tossed with salad and lemon oil.
- Serve with baked eggs and toasted sourdough.
Our packaging is plastic-free
- We have developed our own revolutionary packaging which is entirely plastic-free and home disposable. Each of our recyclable cardboard punnets is flow-wrapped with home-compostable film which, unlike traditional plastic flow-wrap, disintegrates within 180 days. Dispose of the black punnet in your normal recycling and the clear film in your food waste bin.
- Each punnet bears the ‘Plastic Free’ mark of A Plastic Planet, a grassroots movement which aims to turn off the plastic tap.
Natoora's radical approach to seasonal sourcing is shaping the future of food
- We are revolutionising the food system.
- We work direct with growers who value flavour, biodiversity and heritage over yield.
- We give them the support they need to build a better future for food, rooted in small scale, sustainable agriculture that gives back to our planet.

Since 2004, we have put measures in place to ensure that any incidental food waste never reaches landfill. In the US, France and the UK, we work with foundations to ensure that viable food never goes to waste. In London we work with The Felix Project to help feed local communities. In any given week, we load 5 to 10 pallets of fresh produce onto Felix Project vans - the equivalent of 300kg of fresh fruit & vegetables diverted from landfill.

constant disappointment
Given up ordering these as they never fail to disappoint. I never quite manage to get them spot on. One minute theyre under ripe, the next minute theyve gone over by some margin. Wont be ordering again.
disappointed
Got these half price in the flash sale. Both very small and 1 was brown and dry inside. The one that was ok had a large stone and not much flesh. Expensive mistake even at half price , full price would was over £5!! Ill stick to Ocado own brand or M&S
Perfect or bad
These are consistently either perfect or so over ripe they are just brown mush. The shells stay hard and get brittle and the inside is brown and dry. They were good sometimes but my last two orders they ended up in the bin. They were too brown even for guacamole.. I am finding there is a lack of quality with all the Natoora products- the oranges are not good anymore. These are very expensive for what they are and are organic avocados better for you? They aren't sprayed with pesticides. It annoys me because if you order something and want to use it you have to go look around for it. It is good Ocado gives refunds but I would rather have good quality to begin with and not have to get a refund. I wont by these again. Better to go to WR and pay less.
Maybe these are better now
Ive bought this several weeks in a row now. They last at least a week if kept in the fridge, and in a perfectly ripened state. Now sure if thats a miracle somehow but Im not complaining!
Very expensive
These were just ok, smaller than I imagined for the money, very expensive I wouldn’t buy them again.
Two small Avacados
Now, if the product stated these were small, then that's understandable, but for that price, I'd expect at least two medium-sized avocados, but instead, it's so tiny I feel it's not worth it.
