FLAVOUR IS A FRONTIER
Natoora Green Asparagus
- We start the season in France, then Italy and finally the UK, whose outdoor season begins later.
- The origin changes, and there are subtle shifts in character and flavour - as there should be
because our asparagus tastes of a particular place and soil.
- Most Asparagus on the market comes from Peru, where the light, high-water table soil and a stable climate produce high yields of fast-growing, flavour-poor spears.
- Sourced during its natural season of April to June.
Take it further
- Shave into thin slices using a vegetable peeler, toss with lemon oil.
- Roasted with walnuts and extra virgin olive oil.
Natoora's radical approach to seasonal sourcing is shaping the future of food
- We are revolutionising the food system.
- We work direct with growers who value flavour, biodiversity and heritage over yield.
- We give them the support they need to build a better future for food, rooted in small scale, sustainable agriculture that gives back to our planet.

not great
Stringy and poor quality.
very tender spears
Bought on flash sale lovely tasty and very tender spears, wouldnt pay full price though
Nice, flavoursome asparagus
After all the negative reviews, I was a bit hesitant to order these, even on offer, but decided to risk it, and was glad I did. I got a dozen reasonably and evenly sized stalks. Yes, they were a tad woodier than then norm, but their flavour was good, and they cooked evenly and quickly. I probably wouldn't buy them at full price - they're not organic - but would recommend on all other counts.
Expensive!
I received 5 stems in the packet. Bought in a Flash Sale for £3 but still 60p per stem! The stems were thick and woody at the ends so part of each stem had to be discarded, although the flavour of what remained was very good. Poor value.
Ridiculous
I received just five asparagus spears in this packet for £6. They are big, but most of them is woody and unusable. Absolute rip-off, will never buy again.
Never buying again
This is plain crazy! I never saw anybody selling asparagus with the lower (woody) parts that in this case take more than 1/2 of asparagus. This one is expensive so you expect it to be fresh and not having much waste. More than 50% waste is just too much for what you pay!
