Natoora Purple Garlic
- Meaty heads of Purple Garlic from Spain.
- A hardneck variety, it is more difficult to grow and more delicate to ship, therefore not as commonly found in supermarkets.
- Find full cloves with milder flavour than its white counterpart.
Take it further
- Roast whole until cloves are soft, then blend through soups and sauces or spread thinly on toast.
- Smash to a wet pulp and add to raw dressings.
Natoora's radical approach to seasonal sourcing is shaping the future of food
- We are revolutionising the food system.
- We work direct with growers who value flavour, biodiversity and heritage over yield.
- We give them the support they need to build a better future for food, rooted in small scale, sustainable agriculture that gives back to our planet.

Great garlic
Perfect for any dish, fresh and tasty
Flake and mould
Have ordered this twice in a row and twice in a row it's been dried out and even mouldy in parts. Given the price this is not on!
mouldy
One of the 3 was visibly mouldy (green/black powder around root) so was immediately thrown away. The others were mouldy inside as I pulled the cloves off. We should be warned if flash sale means questionable quality.
Already rotten
I used some the day after delivery and the bulb was already rotten. It was a 'flash sale' item so I expected the 'use by' period to be short but did not expect all three bulbs to be bad.
Not great
Tried this for the first time but not impressed. Bulbs were old and with a bitter flavour. Not better than standard issue garlic sold by Ocado.
When it’s good…
…it’s really good.
