Natoora Spanish Raf Winter Tomatoes
- RAF is one of the four varieties that we have brought under one banner – Winter Tomatoes – to mark out tomatoes that can only reach their full potential during the cooler months.
- From November to May, skilled growers can exert high levels of water-stress on their plants which would be impossible in hot, dry seasons. They grow in saline coastal regions, in poor, free draining soils; two factors that add to their stress rooted-growing.
- Grown by Andrès in Almería, RAF have taut skin and heavy ridging with a balance of bright acidity and umami sweetness in their firm flesh.
Take it further
- Best served raw, lightly seasoned and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil.
- If left to soften, these make a fantastic and simple pasta sauce. Simply cook down with a little salt and olive oil.
Natoora's radical approach to seasonal sourcing is shaping the future of food
- We are revolutionising the food system.
- We work direct with growers who value flavour, biodiversity and heritage over yield.
- We give them the support they need to build a better future for food, rooted in small scale, sustainable agriculture that gives back to our planet.

A mix of rock hard and spongy
I took a chance on these after some bad experiences with Natoora and more recently M&S tomatoes and not wanting the ones that have no flavour. I was pleased to see that they weren't squashed or mouldy for a change, but when I opened the pack the pretty green bits were very green indeed and 2 tomatoes were like rocks, the other was very soft and on the verge of going off. I find Natoora to be very inconsistent in quality but usually not great, unfortunately as the potential is there to be really good.
Great flavour
Made Pan Con Tomate (Spanish Breakfast Toast) with these, grating them and blending with olive oil and salt to go on toasted sourdough. Superb flavour.
Love Natoora tomatoes
I also like the gamble. When they're bad they're horrible, but when they are good they are sublime. Slice them, add a little bit of EVO, a sprinkle of sea salt and wow!
amazing tomatoes
I had one of these for lunch on a slice of Gails rosemary sourdough with mushrooms, spinach and halloumi and these tomatoes were delicious. They really stood out flavour wise and will definitely be a repeat order even though they are a ridiculous price- hence 4 stars.
Expensive and one was already mouldy
These have a good flavour, but they weren't very large, two were going soft and the third already mouldy on top - even at flash sale prices, one would hope for better quality control and shelf life.
Nothing like the photo
I ordered these premium tomatoes and they looked nothing like the photo. They were bruised and mouldy. Very disappointing.
