FLAVOUR IS A FRONTIER
Natoora British Purple Sprouting Broccoli
- Purple Sprouting Broccoli from third generation growers Martin & Ted, grown slowly in open fields in Worcestershire and hand harvested for quality.
- Over fifty years of seed saving has produced a unique heritage variety that is fully adapted to the local soil and climate of the region.
- Martin and Ted hone in on the qualities they value most: multiple sideshoots, deep purple heads and a tender stalk. A stark contrast to the woody, intensively-grown broccoli you'd normally find in the market.
Take it further
-Chargrilled, tossed with almonds and goat’s cheese
-Blanched, drizzled with lemon oil

Outstanding, glorious!
Every season I buy several packs a week and it is glorious, really outstanding! It has an exquisite deep, full earthy flavour and gorgeous crisp, tender texture which it retains throughout cooking - the depth of flavour and texture are exceptional. Just be very careful not to overcook it! Consistently fresh with beautiful vibrant deep purple heads and purple green stems. Exquisite lightly steamed and drizzled with organic olive oil or avocado oil, and perfect added to pasta, risotto, stir-fry and curry towards the end of cooking time (cut large stems in half to even out cooking time). Stays fresh for a few days by simply removing it from the wrapping and storing in a zipped freezer bag at the bottom of the fridge. I wish it was organic, but I love that it is British and always reliably from UK. Another winner from Natoora - outstanding!
Great tasting
Tastes great. Only downside doesn’t stay fresh for long
The best
We grow our own as much as we can but only limited space and this is a family favourite veg, and this is just as good as homegrown. Natoora products are generally the closest to homegrown you can get I find, good quality, however partly due to this freshness and quality maybe, there is a higher risk they turn up spoilt on Ocado, however I have never had this happen with this broccoli and ordered many many times over the years.
On offer
Tried this on offer. Have previously found Natoora products to be unreliable. This arrived fresh and was very tasty.
Natoora can be very hit or miss
But this was fabulously fresh and crispy. I saved half and cooked it 2 days after the 'use by' date and it was still in good condition.
Delicious
Raw, or slightly steamed this broccoli is scrumptious. I appreciate its expensive but I make it last quite a long time and its worth every penny.
