Product information
Numancia was an antique city, whose people heroically resisted the Romans, choosing to die rather than surrender. From this epic past, Numanthia has inherited tenacity and resistance, two characteristics of the Spanish Toro vineyards that survived both extreme climatic conditions and phylloxera.
Numanthia's style relies on a selection of exceptional ungrafted old vineyards, with more than 50 years. These low yielding vines offer, year after year, extreme grapes concentration, fruit intensity and structure.
Solidly built, with tannins that are both sharp and well integrated, Numanthia expresses power, precision and persistence.
Color: Intense and deep ruby, with light purple accents.
Aromas: Opens with intense red & black fruits notes such as raspberry, redcurrant, and blackcurrant completed by subtle floral hints like geranium, rhubarb jam, and menthol. Its noble oak aging gives it slight aromas of tobacco and pepper.
Palate: Well balanced, excellent structure in the mouth with silky and delicate tannins. This has a great intensity, complexity and elegance, all underlined by a vibrant freshness. Long and suave finish with deep aromatic persistence. Great aging potential.

Lacking in depth
This wine lacked any intensity or depth of flavour. It was ok, but I wouldnt buy again.

Special wine.
Very intense and bold, full and complete with velvety mouthfeel that dries your mouth out slightly. Aromas of cherry, blackberry, chocolate, cedar and spice.
