All the same small size these firm tightly layered leeks have a subtle sweet onion flavour. These leeks are ideal as a green side dish that can make a meal special. Perfect for boiling whole or even roasting drizzled with olive oil.
Serving Suggestion
For a vegetable side, no need to trim, just sauté in a pan with some fennel, add a dash of lemon juice and thyme and serve with a variety dishes.

Storage
Best stored in a fridge.
Instructions
1. Wash before use.
2. Cut top and bottom off Leek.
3. Place in roasting tray and drizzle with oil.
4. Roast in pre heated fan assisted at 175ºC, Non fan assisted 200ºC & Gas mark 6 on middle shelf.
5. Turn leeks over half way through roasting. Remove after approximately 20 minutes and serve. Check Food is piping hot.

A regular. A bit variable in size but nice flavour.

not nice
In the past I have been quite happy with these leeks, but the last ones were wet muddy and slimy, and nearly all green. I noticed that they are now supplied by he same farmer who supplies the Waitrose leeks (which I have also stopped buying)
