Ocado British Growing Mint
Product information
Mint is probably one of the most commonly loved herbs thanks to its versatility in many of your favourite dishes and drinks. Wash the leaves and sprinkle into salads, pasta, salsa and marinades, meat and vegetable dishes or, mix into a fresh fruit salad.
You can also enjoy the leaves in a refreshing mint tea, added to water in an ice cube tray to pep up your soft drinks and cocktails, or dipped into melted dark chocolate and served alongside a delicious dessert.
Top Tip!
Try adding freshly crushed mint leaves to butter and freezing in small portions. These can be used as a delicious addition to cooking fish or potatoes once defrosted.

Storage
Growing herbs are 'cut as you need', harvest just above leaf growth to encourage the plant to re-grow. Mint can be planted outside once acclimatised. To stop it spreading plant it in the pot.
Watering the herbs from the bottom is the key to keeping them healthy and to prolonging their life. Your herbs have always been watered from below so by keeping to this regime you will extend the life of the plant.
Remove the herb pots from their sleeves and place the pots on a saucer. By placing water at the bottom of the tray you can always see how much water your plants have taken up. As most herbs originate from hot countries they like to be kept on the dry side. The more heat and light they are exposed to, the more frequently they will need watering. Generally water little and often and never keep your plant in standing water.

Not fit for consumption
I bought this for cocktails at our house party. It arrived looking limp and absolutely smothered in aphids. A complete feast for ladybirds but not fit for human consumption.
dodgy batch?
most of the mint leaves had fallen off. My basil plant from the same range was bushy and perfect.
Dead on arrival
Last 3 or 4 orders most of the leaves had already fallen off when it was delivered and were just lying limply on the soil. Need to sort out quality control
Wow, practically dead on arrival
12 dead leaves at the bottom of the pot and 10 brown ones withering on the stem. Some tiny leaf shoots tell me it might not be a goner. Come on Ocado, obvious it was not fit to be sold.
Beyond pathetic!
Weedy little plant with hardly any stems. Leaves tuned yellow within 48 hours (yes, the soil of the plant was moist). UNUSABLE!
