Ocado British Growing Mint
Product information
Mint is probably one of the most commonly loved herbs thanks to its versatility in many of your favourite dishes and drinks. Wash the leaves and sprinkle into salads, pasta, salsa and marinades, meat and vegetable dishes or, mix into a fresh fruit salad.
You can also enjoy the leaves in a refreshing mint tea, added to water in an ice cube tray to pep up your soft drinks and cocktails, or dipped into melted dark chocolate and served alongside a delicious dessert.
Top Tip!
Try adding freshly crushed mint leaves to butter and freezing in small portions. These can be used as a delicious addition to cooking fish or potatoes once defrosted.

Storage
Growing herbs are 'cut as you need', harvest just above leaf growth to encourage the plant to re-grow. Mint can be planted outside once acclimatised. To stop it spreading plant it in the pot.
Watering the herbs from the bottom is the key to keeping them healthy and to prolonging their life. Your herbs have always been watered from below so by keeping to this regime you will extend the life of the plant.
Remove the herb pots from their sleeves and place the pots on a saucer. By placing water at the bottom of the tray you can always see how much water your plants have taken up. As most herbs originate from hot countries they like to be kept on the dry side. The more heat and light they are exposed to, the more frequently they will need watering. Generally water little and often and never keep your plant in standing water.

Very Healthy Plant
After reading some of the negative reviews I was apprehensive about ordering mint, but I needn't have worried. My plant arrived packed in its own little box. It is a very large, bushy, well rooted healthy plant, the best I have ever purchased from any supermarket. After allowing it to acclimatise for a few days I have now planted it into my raised bed.
two mint plants
I ordered two mint plants, and after reading the reviews was more than a little dubious as to what state they would be in when they arrived. The mint arrived well packaged, watered and the plants were so healthy, a lovely minty fragrance and flavour. I have planted them outside in a container pot where they continue to grow and thrive. An excellent purchase and so happy I decided to give them a try! Very satisfied customer.
Packaged upside down
This was a small size to begin with but the plant itself had been packaged upside down in the transport box despite all of the 'this way up' arrows. As a result the plant that arrive was completely crushed with many broken stalks.
Pathetic Specimen
Bought to make fresh mint tea but this will only make 2 cups.Tiny tiny plant spindly, and if I'm honest, not very fragrant or tasty. 10p dearer than the lovely bushy plant I have since purchased from Tesco. Wouldn't buy again
fantastic
Large healthy plant, bought for mojitos and now growing at super speed in my kitchen window
Fresh and healthy looking plant
The mint that arrived yesterday was a fresh, healthy looking plant with lots of fragrant green leaves.
