looked nothing like the photo and had not taste
The piece of meat I received looked nothing like the photograph. There was hardly a bone in it and it looked more like a fat sausage. The meat (what there was of it) had no taste when it was cooked. This was not a half leg of lamb of any quality. I will not be purchasing again especially at £15 a pop.
Revolying
I roasted it but the flavour was off so I curried it the next day. Still horrible. It's going in the bin. What is this? It's not normal lamb.
was very disappointed
shrunk a lot when cooking and then it was very fatty and grisly. the children struggled to eat it.
very disappointing
This was substituted for my preferred joint, which I had ordered for dinner on New Years Day. Despite resting it for longer than recommended it was tough and gristly and, even if it hadnt been, there wasnt enough on the joint to make it an adequate substitution. We ended up leaving the meat and just eating the trimmings so no really a very happy new year meal for us, sadly.
disappointed after reading excellent reviews
I cooked this as instructed and was very tough and fatty! Chewy and strong flavour. Enough for two as huge bone through the middle! Expensive and no where near as good as Sainsburys. Ocado large leg of lamb was better quality.
Decent cut
Not fatty at all, I made gravy with the juices and didn't have to skim it. It fed 5 of us with a bit left over so would have stretched to six. It was a bit too done - I followed the cooking instructions but could have taken it out 5 to 10 min earlier...however it was still tender
