12 mixed weight organic free range eggs. Class A.

These organic eggs have been laid on farms by hens that have the freedom to roam organic pastures during the day, and are fed on a natural, organically produced diet. They have been produced to high welfare and organic environmental standard.

Organic eggs contain no additives or colouring, therefore the colour of the yolk may vary due to the natural variations of the organic elements in the feed.

The eggs in this pack come from producers inspected to RSPCA welfare standards by the RSPCA's independently certified farm assurance standards.

Organic but not hen friendly

I have been buying organic eggs thinking they were better for the hens, however there are very few that meet the standards for this and sadly Ocado eggs are not one of them. Aside from that they are mostly nice enough eggs but I don't intend to buy them again having researched further.

Terrible

These eggs are like empty inside. I boiled them and literally what I got is a tiny egg white around the yolk. Very weird. Avoid.

So happy that these are organic and reasonable price too. Sometimes they arrive damaged but on the whole they are really good. Will continue to buy

Fragile

Colour of egg yolk can be controlled by food colour, that feeding hens with red salmon or safflower etc would create deep orange coloured egg yolks, so natural yellow yolk was not a matter for me. However, healthy hard egg shells are more of my interest, when I received cracked eggs in a row. Side of egg shells have been cracked at the level of the package and when I pulled sometimes dried egg white glued them up to the package, which means that might had been cracked at earlier stage than delivery like at a food picking process? They were good eggs when not cracked nor broken. Just mix the size, not cracked nor broken ones please.
