Product information
The sweet potato is a native American plant and, despite it's name, is not related to the potato. It was brought back to Spain by Christopher Columbus in 1492 and introduced to African lands by the Portuguese. They are cultivated in tropical and sub-tropical regions and need abundant sunshine to grow.
As the name suggests, sweet potatoes have a sweet flavour and are moist when cooked. Incredibly versatile, they can be steamed, baked, boiled, microwaved, roasted or fried.
Serving Suggestion
Enjoy baked with butter, salt & pepper.

The m&s 1kg is better
Firstly you get more in the m&s 1kg bag. Secondly the m&s 1kg bag is almost half the price! Thirdly, I find the m&s ones are fresher. try it!
