Primofiori is the newer variety typically from Sicily and Spain, offering a very intense taste due to its high acidity content with large amounts of juice. Our Spanish Verna lemons are usually bigger in size with a slightly pronounced neck compared to other varieties. These produce a good amount of juice. And then, our Eureka Lemons are more elliptical in shape with vibrant yellow textured skin, offering fewer seeds with a juicy tart acidic flavour.
Limes
The Persian lime is a seedless variety cross between a Key Lime and Lemon. Whilst ripening, it actually turns yellow, but is sold when it is still green, so as not to cause confusion. It bears a thick skin and milder citrus aromas and is not as acidic or as bitter as the Key Lime. The Tahiti Lime is a larger fruit, with a smooth, firm and thin rind, offering an intense aroma oozing a beautiful acidic subtle sweet flavour. Tahiti use these limes in national dish called Laota which combines fresh fish, lime juice, coconut cream and vegetables.
Oranges
The Navel orange has a reputation for its superior eating quality, they can be easily distinguished by their appearance as they have a small secondary fruit embedded in the stylar end of the main fruit. These large, smooth, deep oranges are virtually seedless and its flesh with a soft, juicy, more sweet than acidic taste. Valencia oranges are a medium to large size with a golden orange rough leathery skin. It extracts a beautiful yellow orange juice which has a moreish sweet tart flavour making it perfect as a tasty snack for home cooking or juicing. The Midnight variety are a lot juicier in comparison to the Valencia and tend to have virtually no seeds, with an oblong shape, a five star juicing quality and tends to ripen far quicker than other varieties.

bad oranges
Dry old oranges, better off buying separately. Purchased because of the recyclable cardboard packaging but will not chance it again and buy elsewhere.
Orchard world citrus box
Good value box
Surprised
Bought on whim wanting just lemons but ordered the box on flash sale. The oranges are tangy and full of flavour. Definitely will buy on any flash sale and will buy when ever I need citrus
very fresh
Really pleased with this, the fruit is noticeably firmer and fresher/nicer than the other stuff we normally buy. Becoming a regular purchase.
Our boxes have been great
I've just read through the other reviews before leaving my own and was surprised to see that others found the oranges can be hit and miss. We have found the oranges in these boxes to be exceptionally good. Flavoursome, sweet, juicy. They are terrific. The lemons and limes are pretty good too, but I just wish OrchardWorld sold the oranges separately - that's how good our experience of these boxes has been. Pity not everyone has had the same standard.
Very disappointed!
Mouldy within 2 days, straight to the bin almost entirely!
