Excellent risotto rice
Delicious.
Perfect every time
Our absolute favourite risotto rice. Quality is outstanding, flavour is subtle and it goes with every kind of recipe – subtle enough for a basic white risotto or a shellfish and pea risotto, to a full-throttle pumpkin, sage and pancetta kind. I have gone from ‘tolerating’ risotto to fully embracing it. Also this is well packaged – cardboard outer, vacuum bag inner – ideal for storage.
Very nice risotto
I was given this to review by Organico. I really liked it and it made a great risotto and the rice absorbed up lots of flavour (in a good way!). At £4.49 it may be a bit out of my budget, but is very good quality
Yes...
... this rice is excellent but don't be misled by a previous review stating that it is cheaper than the lovely rice beginning with N and ending with an O because it really isn't. However, both are excellent. Try both and compare, but most of all enjoy.
Amazing!
Wonderful texture sucked up the flavours really well. I did the recipe on the box. Made mine with fresh basil, cherry tomatoes and courgettes.
Excellent
This is easy to achieve a really good risotto with... Follow the instructions on the packet & you will get a great result. I fried finely chopped asparagus, onion, carrot, celery and garlic in olive oil & butter - leaving the asparagus heads until last - then added about 100ml dry white wine and the rice and then the stock as directed. Once all the liquid had been absorbed - 15-17mins - I stirred in a serving spoonful of olive oil and two of veggie Parmesan, the result was really good. I tried the same recipe with another brand of risotto beginning with N and ending in O and it wasn't anywhere near as good a texture. That brand is also more expensive.
