I like it!
Had this in the cupboard, so thought I would just stick it in the microwave for a quick lunch. After a quick 1 minute heat and a taste, I added salt and pepper and it came to life. I ate it on its own and it was perfectly fine. The beans were soft, not mushy. I question the use of squash in the name as there was very little of it, and what there was of it came in small slithers. That aside, I surprised myself by really enjoying it. The bite of the barley made it for me. I was unaware it was in a sauce until I was reviewing when I reread the description!
disgusting
this was mushy flavourless and absolutely gross. don't waste your money
Mushy and tasteless
The beans were overcooked and tasteless. We tried it with some sausages, as suggested. Perhaps we just had a bad batch.
Mushy
It's overcooked beans and barley combined with squash puree. Bland tasting and no texture
quick and healthy lunch
I quite liked this little pouch. Slightly bland but I heated it gently in the microwave and then stirred through a bit of salt and chilli oil. Put in a shallow dish topped with some goats cheese and under the grill. Very quick and easy lunch when working from home and feels healthy with the beans and squash. Its more of a grain pack, no orzo in sight!
Absolutely delicious
Im surprised by the negative reviews. I found this flavoursome and with great texture and bite. It didnt feel like food that came from a packet and Id be happy to be served it in a restaurant! Perfect for a quick lunch that tastes like it look far longer than a couple of minutes to prepare!
