sickly sweet palmers smell but.
Yes if smells very sickly sweet but also very synthetic and chemically but it doesnt last long. If you put it on at night, you wont smell it in the morning. It really fades in a few hours and doesnt tend to linger on the clothes either. I have uneven dark skin and this does work to even my skin tone out on legs and arms and looks natural. Remember to wash your hands! I ignored this and now look like a chain smoker.
Good
I bought this after trying many different brands, I love it. Not sure about the chocolate smell, however it moisturises well and gives a good quite deep colour (using it a couple of times). Great if you want to keep your tan going after returning from holiday.
Great chocolate smell & good tan
I really like this product. It is a great moisturiser & has a delicious chocolate scent. On top of this, it gives you a realistic tan which fades very naturally. Ive used it for a couple of years now & really like the tan & moisturiser duo.
Brilliant!
Just the right amount of colour for me as I'm naturally very pale. Works well overnight. Slightly smelly but goes off. My go too fake tan
jury still out
still undecided on this. I tried it over a few successive days and didn't really see any difference on my white legs. I did get slightly orange knee caps though. this may be my fault for not putting enough on or exfoliating properly though. the smell is pretty strong but not horrendous. I think I'd probably try another brand if I ever attempted this again. tbh the weather is so bad that I've given up since my skin seems destined never to leave my thermals.
Human creosote...
...this is not. Please feel free to ignore the low star reviews from the delicate flowers complaining about the pong and/or colour of this lotion as neither is particularly true. On a good day I am usually the colour of an exhumed corpse (read: Pantone 290 C) yet after 2-3 applications of this stuff (which I found by complete chance as I am not normally this vain, but after such a lousy summer I decided to take action) I seemingly appear to now have a healthy glow (not jaundiced). And all without the lingering aroma of either coconuts or chocolate. Or orange hands for that matter (because I read the instructions before using it). I like Palmers. Their stuff works. It has a fragrance, but it does not linger. And if youve prepared yourself properly beforehand then youll get along fine with this. If not, then youll look a disgrace and only have your own inept self to blame.
