loved this till i read other reviews!
i had not read the ingredient list! iid been using as what i thought was a paraffin free lip cream... it feels and smells lovely .. alas!
Seems nice but confusing ingredient list
So, on the top of the jar, this claims it is free of mineral oil, which it appears can be defined as a distillation product of petroleum. However, the third greatest ingredient is microcrystalline wax - a type of wax produced by de-oiling petrolatum, as part of the petroleum refining process. I presume that as the petroleum has been de-oiled it doesnt count as mineral oil, but this seems deliberately deceptive. Ive removed one star for this is personally this is not a deal breaker for me, but its definitely something that other people may want to be aware of when choosing a product. The product itself seems good so far - Im using it more preventatively so hard to know what benefit its had - but it smells nice and I have one big long-standing stretch mark on my tummy the appearance of which does seem to have improved.
Seems to be working
I am using this on an area that has had surgery, and have been doing this for around 2 weeks. There is a discernable difference and I am pleased with the result.
Wrong ingredients
The cream itself is like a solid wax. It works well but it takes ages to scrape enough out to run into your skin. The ingredients list is not correct and I absolutely would not have purchased if Id known that the second ingredient were paraffinium liquidium. Not what I want to put on my skin.
I'm a big 25 weeks and no stretch marks!!!
I had terrible stretch marks with my first child using other products, I started using the Palmer's Tummy Butter 3 months ago and I don't have a single red mark on my tummy and my old stretch marks have faded too! I'm sticking with Palmer products from here on.
