Lamb Balti Recipe
1 Heat 3 tbsp of oil in a pan and add 1 medium diced onion, fry until soft.
2. Add 1 tsp finely chopped ginger, 1 tsp finely chopped garlic and 1/2 a jar of Patak's Balti spice paste, cook for 1-2 minutes. Add 50ml of water, cook until the water has evaporated.
3. Add 500g diced lamb, cook until sealed. Add 150ml water, simmer covered until the lamb is tender (approx. 30 minutes).
4. Add 200g chopped tomatoes, 1 red and 1 green diced pepper and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Season to taste, garnish with fresh chopped coriander and serve with rice and naan.
Try crackling 1 tsp of cumin seeds in hot oil to release their sweet earthy flavour before adding the onion for that Indian home cooking experience.

Succulent and tender, the lamb pieces in this dish are transformed by the Balti paste. A fantastic dish to serve to friends and family
This simple dish uses the strong flavours of the Balti paste - such as cumin, coriander and other authentic spices, with garlic. The result being a tantalising dish that is easy enough to rustle up for a quick weekday meal.
Coronation chicken was invented by Constance Spry and Rosemary Hume to celebrate the coronation of Her Majesty the Queen in 1953. Today it is a classic salad and sandwich filling. Add a hotter curry paste if you like a bit more spice.
