yum.
Good and simple
Basically a pastry case with frozen fruit inside. Take it out of the freezer, cut off the foil container, pop it in the oven for 10 mins to defrost and then leave to rest so the pastry crisps up. Voila. Thin pastry, tart fruit, enough to feed 4 I'd say. It tastes good and it's very simple. But ... it's basically a pastry shell with frozen fruit in. I'm happy to buy it, because it's handy to store and defrost. But I'm now going to experiment with buying a good quality sweet pastry case (less than £3) and then defrosting a pack of frozen raspberries (£2.50 max) and popping them in the tart case just before serving. Call me cheap, but while I'd buy it again out of convenience, I'm not sure this is worth £7.50 when you can get a pretty much identical frozen product for £2 less from other supermarkets or you could make your own. I would recommend this to busy people who don't need to shop around or try to make their own. And, hey, I may not be able to create anything as good myself.
Great pastry, tart sweet raspberries!
This tart is perfect. We've tried many other raspberry tarts but this is by far the best. The pastry is thin and crispy, buttery and biscuity. The raspberry layer is delicious and the raspberries are tart but sweet too. It's quick to cook from frozen and you let it cool before eating. You can also eat it cold the next day if kept in the fridge. Great with chilled cream, ice cream or custard. It is light but generously served. Great to keep on hand in the freezer for a last minute dessert idea. Very impressive quality.
A lovely tart tart
Beautifully light dessert had warm with single cream however came battered and broken, so spoiled the aesthetic when serving to guests over christmas.
soooo small!
went down a treat with my guests but for the price I was expecting something bigger!!!
Tasty
Good product, but bit too expensive
