Lean indeed
Much better quality than standard corned beef , I use it in sandwiches and cooking .The tin yes has an old fashioned key but I always find it works ok
Reduced fat added sugar?
No point reducing fat and adding sugar to the recipe, if I'm losing weight I may aswell go for the normal variety with no sugar.
Impossible to Open
Come on, it's 2023, ring-pulls have been around for years! Have persisted with this for a while but no longer after actually cutting my finger trying to open.
Posh!
Posh corned beef, posh price. Very nice indeed for butties but we stick to cheaper big tins for cottage pie ( sauce - fry onions, tomato puree, beef stock pot, red or white wine) But you could do a posh one!
Love
Makes a lovely corned beef hash! I have had a few hard bits in the regular corned beef tins but never in this lean one. Never had an issue with opening the tins, its pretty self explanatory!
A challenge to open
I have opened many a tin of corned beef without any problem but this was a real challenge. The lip for attaching the key was much lower down the can than usual and the label had been firmly glued down on top of it. When I finally uncovered it I then found the key so hard to turn I had to insert a spoon handle in the key to provide extra leversge. This is not normal! The content when you finally get to it is as good as any.
