Thank you for choosing our Peanut Butter
In our little factory in Huddersfield, we slowly roast our peanuts in small batches and then carefully grind them until they naturally attain a smunchy texture. Then we add a pinch of sea salt. That's it!
Our peanut butter is made in the traditional way with nothing added that doesn't need to be there, so we decided to call it Proper Nutty.
We hope you enjoy it.

Awful
I've been buying this since 2021 and it has always been excellent. This is no longer true. The last 2 tins have been awful. Possibly the worst peanut butter I have ever tasted.
It\x27s changed massively for the worse
With no fanfare other than a new tin, this has changed from being yummy to being thin (the giveaway is no interesting solid bit at the bottom of the tin), pale, the smunchy bits have almost disappeared. Looks more like vomit, sorry. Tastes - well, ok, but the lumpy sauce texture has put me right off. Unless it changes back, I'm not getting it again.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it
This used to be the best peanut butter. Now it's like beige slop. Why oh why?
New recipe is so wrong
This used to be delicious but along with the new tin is a new recipe which is disgusting. It is like peanut soup and is the colour of, well frankly, someone with an upset stomach's poo. So disappointed, used to be my regular treat for breakfast, no longer acceptable
All Change
Back in 2019 (I think) when I first bought this I really liked it. It is still plain and simple peanut butter made from peanuts and a touch of salt however the texture has changed from one I thought previously was not creamed into submission with added bits of peanut after, into one that is seems much finer and with tiny tiny little pieces of nut (more like a grit). There are not any emulsifiers listed so I guess that the looser, thinner, sloppy texture (I've had two tins of the new style bright blue tin) comes from the finer creaming holding on to the oil (which hardly settles out at all now). I preferred the old texture where the peanut butter could be left to settle out some of the oil which could be stirred back in or scooped off for frying (no waste). The paint tin style of tin has not only changed colour to a bright blue but seems thinner and more flexible and indeed when I pick up the tin now it flexes under my finger tips. So, I am not going to stick with this one.
wonderful peanut butter
nicest natural peanut butter I've had in ages. of course there is oil, it's natural! give it a stir and your golden.
