Pass
I don't mind the taste and texture of these, the soft texture can suit certain dishes. But am giving a lower rating to the presence of carrageenan. If you're vegan and having gut issues emulsifiers like this are likely the cause (along with too much fibre in the diet) - hope that helps people out there and that Quorn can make a better recipe without. Other brands have proven it's possible!
Vegan version = not good
I usually love the Quorn pieces. Bought the Vegan version by accident and was surprised how bad they were. Odd taste and disintegrate into mush when cooked. Nothing like the usual firm textured Quorn pieces. Will make sure I dont buy the Vegan version again!
love these
Can hardly find these anywhere they discontinued the fillets unfortunately please don't discontinue these! They are great. Seems like Quorn really don't care about the vegan range apart from things like ham slices but these old school products people really do still like!
Fry them first and they won\x27t fall apart
All my kids are vegetarian, and with 2 of them being allergic to eggs, we have to go for vegan meat alternatives. While there are many others on the market that are perhaps tastier or sturdier, these are by far, the most economical, and so, my preferred brand. I discovered that if I fry them in a little oil first (2-3 minutes) to brown them slightly, they don't fall apart in curries and stews and soak up all the liquid. You don't need much oil either.
Delicious
Always a staple in my cupboard, and love that there is now a vegan option! So versatile for so many recipes.
what the hell quorn?
why changed the ingredients? now as a ceoliac I can't eat them. Yet another example of chasing the vegan train! what a joke
