Not everything needs to be smoked

The smoking just detracts from the fruit, and gives the chutney a rather unpleasant, somewhat acidic flavour. Fur coat, no knickers, as my gran used to say.

its ok but over priced and tiny

Its nothing special (but it clearly thinks it is!) and the pot is tiny

Nice flavour, sloppy consistency

The smoked apple flavour is quite nice but it was so watery in consistency is didnt stick to a cracker or cheese. Odd product.

Tiny jar, overly vinegary and no smoked flavour

Didnt notice the weight when buying - the jar is tiny and around half the size of a normal jar. That then given it is expensive means very poor value. Was only ok chutney - too vinegary and couldnt tell the smoked apple. Wouldnt recommend.

Great with cheese

This has a lovely smoky flavour and went very well with an after dinner cheeseboard. All the family really liked the chutney, but I would point out that it is a very small jar, so it is fairly expensive for what it is.

Pleasant but underwhelming.

The flavour was good but I would expect a chutney to be a lot more punchy. This was more like apple sauce. Eaten with anything with even a little flavour - charcuterie as recommended or even mild cheese - and the chutney taste was far too subtle and was lost. I received this as a free sample to review.
