Lovely fruit flavours
These are lovely, very identifiable fruit flavours and very easy to devour whilst at the computer. A regular.
Different
I've been vegetarian for almost 30 years and I was so happy to recently discover that my favourite childhood sweets from the 80s are now gelatine-free! However, they are unfortunately not like they used to be at all. They are no longer the hard gums I remember, but instead are quite soft and very sticky/claggy in the mouth and more like wine gums. I can understand why some people are not happy as they do not really resemble the previous sweets. I'm sure Rowntree's could improve them to make everyone happy. Slim Fruits (sadly no longer available in the UK) managed to create a hard gum style sweet that was also vegan, so it can be done.
Nice flavour
More flavour than the old solid versions that I was bought up on. Nice improvement.
Plastic
These now taste like plastic. Not everyone wants to eat vegan.
Chewy
Really good, and just like the original. Happy to be able to have these as a vegetarian ad enjoy old school sweets.
Old School
I haven't had these in over 20 years since I became a fake vegetarian (fish don't count haha). I remember them being sort of crown shaped and rock hard. I have no idea what they were like before the veganisation but they're not too bad now. They have an odd slightly hard shell and are softer in the middle but also still have that stick to your teeth texture. The flavours were good. I doubt my elderly teeth would cope with these as a regular buy though.
