History
Santa Carolina, founded in 1875 and currently owned by the Larrain family, proudly champions Chilean Heritage with a focus on innovation. Through the journey of the valleys, Santa Carolina respects each varietal's typicity and treasures the expression of fruit. The estates, owned and managed by Santa Carolina, are located in Maipo, Rapel, Leyda, Casablanca and Colchagua.
Regional Information
The Colchagua Valley is the largest and southernmost of the Rapel sub-appellations. Colchagua is closer to the lowest part of the Coastal Range and is benefitted by the refreshing sea breeze.

Vinification Details
Cold maceration. Traditional fermentation at controlled temperatures (28°C / 82°F) in cement tanks. 10% gets post-fermentation maceration. 40% gets malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. The blend has 8 months of french oak barrel ageing and it is bottled one year later.

Quite a pleasant wine

I am reviewing this wine because Ocado gave me a bottle I found it quite pleasant with a little sharp aftertaste not exactly my style but no doubt a good wine that is easily drinkable

Would buy again

I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. Tastes very nice enjoyable with everyday dinner. Considerable good for the price for a good sauvignon

Lovely wine

I'm reviewing this wine as I was sent a bottle by Ocado. We loved the wibed, very easy to drink, we had this bottle with cheese board. It has character, but not overpowering the cheese. Would happily recommend and will definitely buy again.

It's a cab sav

I was sent this to review. If you like cab sav you'll like this one. Quite dark with chocolate and blackberry flavours. It's quite a young wine so might be worth keeping it rather than drinking it now.

Not bad!

I was given this item by Ocado to review. Had other wines in this range which have been excellent (particularly the pinot noir). This is perfectly ok for the price point (better when left to breathe) but a pretty good deal if on special offer

Really intense flavour with a woodiness to it. Very good. Would pair well with most steaks etc.
