History
Santa Carolina, founded in 1875 and currently owned by the Larrain family, proudly champions Chilean Heritage with a focus on innovation. Through the journey of the valleys, Santa Carolina respects each varietal's typicity and treasures the expression of fruit. The estates, owned and managed by Santa Carolina, are located in Maipo, Rapel, Leyda, Casablanca and Colchagua.
Regional Information
The grapes were grown in the La Rinconada vineyards in the Rapel Valley, close to the Cachapoal River which receives a large amount of rain during the short winter months and has long summers of cool breezes and sunshine. Temperatures vary greatly from warm days to cool nights which allow the grapes to ripen slowly to maintain natural acidity and develop complex flavours.

Nothing special
I like Carmenere a lot, but this wine didn't hit the spot. It wasn't great, wasn't bad, just unremarkable. Wouldn't buy again, especially not at full price.
