Used in pilau rice
I expect you can buy cheaper but I like the nice jars.
Great for festive drinks
These little sticks are great for the festive season. Stirring them into hot chocolate with marshmallows gives my Christmas drinks a festive twist. These had a lovely gentle flavour without being too overpowering.
This is real \x27superior\x27 Ceylon cinnamon
I think Ocado need to get on top of the fake reviews. This is real Ceylon cinnamon, not the inferior Cassia bark. It's really easy to tell the difference. Cassia bark is really thick but the much nicer tasting (imho) Ceylon cinnamon is much thinner. You will struggle sometimes to break a Cassia cinnamon stick with your bare hands but never with Ceylon cinnamon. Aside from the much more developed and subtle taste of true Ceylon cinnamon, Cassia bark cinnamon contains a worrying amount of carcinogens. Avoid cassia bark if you use cinnamon regularly. Not only will your taste buds thank you but you won't get cancer! Well not from cinnamon anyway. And believe me I've searched up and down for true Ceylon cinnamon and settled on Schwarz. It costs more but for me it's worth it, better taste, no cancer. Seems like a no brainer really.
Cassia
This used to be true cinnamon, but now appears to be the cheaper, inferior alternative, cassia.
No smell
Cinnamon is all about that spicy smell and this one didn’t have any smell at all. Very disappointed
