Not bad but also not the best
Im reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. Only just got round to using this. Made some homemade eggs benedict. It wasnt bad but also not the best. Maybe I need more practice making it. Thanks Ocado!
Great store cupboard product
I always have great results when making on the hob. Yes, its not a fresh restaurant hollandaise but it scratches the itch with smoked salmon when you dont want to leave the house
Hollaindaise sauce
Of course making your own sauce is best but there are very good alternative out there. Unfortunately this is not one of them. Thin and tasteless. I used some on Eggs benedict but threw the rest away after tasting it. You will be disappointed. Best avoided. Not worth a pound.
Awful
We had to throw this away, wasting 300ml of milk. This is NOT Hollandaise sauce. It was thin and tasted very bad. What happened to the very good M&S sauce we used to buy? Please don't sell this one.
More like custard!
I sometimes make my own Hollandaise and often use stuff out of a jar (not nearly as good), but this is the first time Ive used this and it was so disgusting, I didnt even put it on the fish. Honestly, I was just annoyed that Id wasted so much milk. When a hollandaise recipe doesnt even use milk, I shouldnt have been surprised.
Ok ish!
I'm reviewing this product as Ocado sent me a free sample. It was ok but nothing like the real thing. Best take the time and enjoy making your own from scratch .......or do without.
