NOT hot chilli powder
Chilli powder yes but I would definitely not rate it as hot. Other than that it's fine.
A blend of ingredients lacking any heat
I’ve been using a jar of this for a few weeks, having previously had different brands, and was wondering why I was having to add a huge amount for even a mild chilli kick, and why it also had a mild curry flavour. I then looked at the ingredients and found that it wasn’t pure hot chilli powder at all but a blend, including cumin, which explains the hint of curry I was getting. It’s not remotely as hot as normal hot chilli powder, which is normally just that, just chilli. I’ll use up the jar but won’t be buying it again. This is good for those who like a milder powder but that’s not me! I wish it had been clearer on the packaging and description that it’s a blend.
Gorgeous heat and flavour
This is a nice well-rounded chilli powder. It's got enough of a kick to toast the tongue but isn't overpowering so you can still taste all the other herbs and spices. It's great for Mexican style food and tomato-based sauces.
Really great for flavour
This hot chilli powder really delivers on taste and flavour. I've used it with curries and chilli and it works a treat. I find the flavour well balanced and it really packs some hot chilli taste.
Store essential
An essential in all the store cupboards. We all really liked this over Tacos so we added it to a tomato sauce for a really lovely kick! A wonderful blend which is nicely warming and tasty not just hot. The packaging also makes it easy to add more to suit individual tastes!
Nice and spicy
Good blend of spices. Great with chilli, fajitas, tacos etc. You name it, this will add some flavour.
