For a little inspiration...
Ideal for topping lasagne before sprinkling with grated Cheddar cheese before cooking. Try adding the cooked sauce to cooked pasta, sauteéd bacon, mushrooms and onions, top with mozzarella and bake in the oven until golden brown and bubbling.

For our recipe you will need...
300ml (1/2 pint) semi-skimmed milk
Directions...
1. Mix the sachet contents with the milk in a small saucepan.
2. Bring to the boil gently, stirring continuously. Simmer for 1-2 minutes, until the sauce is smooth and thickened.
Microwave (800W)...
Microwave ovens vary. The following is a guide only.
Empty the sachet contents into a large microwaveable bowl or jug. Mix in the milk and heat on full power for 4 minutes, stirring every minute until smooth and thickened. Stir well and ensure the sauce is piping hot before serving.

very good
I usually make my own from scratch but often dont get through a whole bag of flour so I cheated with this for my cauliflower cheese sauce and it was a huge success

Not recommended
The sauce, when made to instructions, is thin and bland. I will not buy this again.

awful!
I will never buy this again. It barely made anything and tasted bland. I much prefer Waitrose bechemel sauce in a jar.

Tasty, creamy texture, easy to make
I like to make my own sauces but the Schwartz white sauce is tastier than mine. Maybe I do not add enough salt. Tasty as a white sauce, I also use this as a base to add cheese, or chives, etc

worked well
I would normally mix my own sauce but I found this to be a good labour saver. It mixed well and tasted fine and was a reasonable price. Quite good if you have a complex recipe with lots of different elements and just fancy mixing the sauce with minimum fuss.

quick aternative
I don't usually buy packet white sauce as make my own but was sent this to review, and can say it was quick and easy to make and had a nice smooth flavor. would buy again
