usually great but
The last box i ordered was inedible. Usually this makes lovely creamy porridge in the microwave, 2 mins and done. I dont know if it was a bad batch or it got mixed up with a chunkier version but this would not cook through. Like eating hot raw oats, ugh.
Versatile
Great when on offer, of course it makes lovely porridge which i make over a double boiler but loads of other uses from overnight oats ,flap jacks to Cranachan.
Scott’s portage oats
This is my breakfast of choice and it’s delicious I make mine with water and serve with vanilla yogurt it’s very filling and a box goes a long way
a true Scotsman would definitely buy these
Great value porridge. Forget the rest buy this. As a Scottish larder would never be without these
decent porridge
Received this as a free gift. Nice porridge, nothing special, but a decent regular porridge
Too processed with no consistency
These are fine if you want baby food consistency but not what I consider proper porridge. They are so finely ground they make a homogenous gel almost instantly. I will stick with the old fashioned rolled oats.
