Tasting Notes
A delicious sparkling extra dry straw-coloured wine with green hints. A delicate nose, fruity, a fresh attack, pleasant and well-structured on the palate with a persistent fruity finish.
History
The Casa Vinicola Abbazia is located in a little town near Monferrato and Langhe, in the heart of the Piémont region. Its vineyards are perfectly exposed on slopes that produced since the 9th Century high quality wine in DOCG and DOC. The Abbazia winery was established in 1848. Under the pieces of advice of Pietro Santero, the patriarch of the Santero's family, the winery bottles its own wine. Since 3 generations the Santero family is proud of having its wine cellar and of operating on an historical site.
Regional Information
The production area is rich in minerals and trace elements. The soils are principally alluvial and show a ground texture of clay.

Really nice!

Other reviews have been very negative, but so far I have never had a cork problem and it tastes really good. I would recommend this Prosecco.

Not good

This was a substitution. The cork was completely stuck & broke in half so had to use a corkscrew to get the rest out. One of the worst Proseccos Ive ever tasted, with a weird tang to it.

Flat

Cork would not come out and broke in half, so we had to use a corkscrew - only to find that the Prosecco was completely flat
