Lovingly selected herbs and spices with a recipe to make chicken fajitas to serve four.
A clever little (no waste) pack of 100% pure herbs & spices, with an easy to prepare recipe that serves four.
It all began with one hungry student, a bunch of other hungry students and a mum's specially blended herbs and spices...
Back in 1994 when Ketan was at university, his mum, Manjula, sent him recipes and spices to make real Indian curries that would remind him of home. Pretty soon all his friends were hooked and the idea for Spicentice was born.
All these years lather the range has grown to include Indian, Thai, Jamaican, Moroccan, Portuguese and Cajun recipes offering a real home cooked experience to share with family and friends (which makes Ketan's mum very happy).

Cut the chicken and pepper into strips. Cut the onion into slices and cut the lime in half. Finely chop into garlic. Add half the chopped garlic to the chicken and mix with the contents of the marinade sachet plus 1 tsp salt, 1 level tsp sugar and the juice of half a lime. Mix thoroughly and leave to marinade for approximately 30 minutes.

Tastes nice, but a bit of a rip off
We love fajitas in our house and I'm always trying to change things up a bit, so gave these spices a whirl. Unfortunately, you're essentially paying over the odds for what is just a packet of spices, and a small one at that. The flavour is nice, but the size isn't enough for a family batch of fajitas - I had to add extra. Considering you can get a big fajita kit, including wraps, salsa and spices, for around £1 more, this just feels like poor value. Wouldn't buy again.
Not much flavour.
Opened the pack, which had a good aroma, so thought this was going to be good. Was trying to find a spice kit that didn't have sugar in it, but then found out you're supposed to add sugar to the recipe. My fault for not reading properly I guess. All the same, didn't seem to have much flavour once added to the chicken, and I'd describe it as a VERY mild chilli heat. Had to add extra spices so it actually tasted of something. Very expensive for what it is, and wouldn't buy again.
Very good
Great family stapler - we use this over 3 years and it is consistent in quality, spicy and delicious.
Tasty
My normal fajita seasoning was discontinued, so tried this. Thought it was a bit pricey, but the sachet is for up to 8 chicken breast, so one sachet will make two meals. You need some garlic and limes to add to the recipe, but it does make very tasty chicken fajitas.
very strong
Not overly keen it didn't really taste like a Mexican flavour. I wouldn't get it again.
delicious
Really authentic taste
