Brand
St. Peter's Brewery is located in a medieval hall in a remote and beautiful corner of Suffolk. There our beers begin their lives deep below the brewery with water drawn from a pure source - as it has been for over 700 years, essential for the full flavour and pure character of all St. Peter's beers.
Our beautiful flask-shaped oval bottle is a faithful copy of one produced c. 1770 for Thomas Gerrard of Gibbstown, just across the Delaware River from Philadelphia. The original is now kept at St. Peter's Hall and is a rare example of an oval Eighteenth Century beer bottle.
The headquarters of St. Peter's Brewery is situated in a medieval hall in a remote and beautiful corner of Suffolk. St. Peter's Hall, the centrepiece of the site, is a half-moated large house with the earliest part of the property dating back to c1280. It was extended in 1539 when the east wing was built using ecclesiastical salvage from the nearby Flixton nunnery which had been closed by King Henry VIII at the time of the Dissolution of the Monasteries two years previously.

Nothing wrong but disappointing
The quaint name and nice bottle made me think this would be better than 'big brand' offerings like Fullers. I found it thinner and rather sharp though, I did drink it chilled, which is my preference, but I note a comment on another review here that it's better at room temp.
Decent especially for the price
I bought this for cooking but saved a good glug as chef's treat. Coffee flavours come out . Probably best brought to room temp
A lovely porter in a lovely bottle
Never had a bad beer from StPeters. This was v pleasing indeed.
yummy

Bang on
When I first tasted this beer it was like I'd never drunk beer before - a real eye opener. It's now a regular purchase and sets a bar that most others can't reach
