Works!

Really pleased with this. I couldn't get blackberry jam no set no matter how long I boiled it. One of these sachets worked perfectly and I only needed to boil the fruit for about ten mins.

Good for homemade jam

Just mix with normal sugar, cheaper than jam sugar, way cheaper than the liquid stuff. Never had a problem so long as I mixed it properly beforehand. Now is the time to find some cheap fruit at a market stall and save yourself a few bob on fancy jams (try cardamom and cherry, or strawberry and black peppercorn).

Wonder stuff, why have I only just found it?

Just great, but this and cheap sugar, and save loads of money on buying special jam sugar. Used it to make raspberry jam, and it was superb, even if I say so myself! Set straight away, no long boiling, and the jam had a perfect soft set. Yum!

Stress free jam making

This product really helps the jam making process. I also use Tate and Lyle Jam Suger and am happy to use either.

essential for strawberry jam

Some form of pectin is essential for strawberry jam; if you try to make it with just strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice you'll end up boiling it for ages. With this stuff it sets quickly and you get bright red, flavourful jam. These sachets are very economical in comparison to buying jam sugar. Jam sugar costs at least 1 pound more per kilo than normal sugar, and one of these sachets, which costs 50p, turns 1kg of normal sugar into jam sugar.
