dont buy anymore
Since they dropped to 200g. Dishonest trading. Pity as it was a good product. All the butters that are moving from 250g to 200g are off my list too. 250g has been a std my entire life (68 years and counting).
Shrinkflation
Yet another example of trying to con the customer.
Very nice.
To save money I had been buying another supermarkets own brand of coffee beans and to be quite honest the coffee tasted like dishwater. I have now come back to Taylor’s and the difference is amazing. This bean makes a rich, smooth tasting cup of coffee. I know some of the other reviewers think this brand has gone down hill but I think these beans are still some of the nicest around in this price range.
Another example of shrinkflation
These packets were 227g until recently, but I ordered them at the usual price to discover that they are yet another example of shrinkflation. 27g less in each bag! I really think Ocado should put this in the description like Carrefour do in France to alert shoppers to the change.
Whats happened
This coffee is our normal buy and has been for some years. The last two purchases have gone in the bin, we originally thought that the first lot were a bad batch (it happenes) but the second lot (different batch code) were even worse. An unpleasant bitter taste, certainly not our favourite coffee. Maybe they ship out batches that don't meet the usual standards to the highest bidder. The result is we're now in search of a replacement brand.
Something changed?
This has been our staple for many years but lately it's tasted weaker and has increased coffee powder sediment. No longer the best we've tasted.
