We use whole leaf only, not the dust found in regular tea bags; whole leaf is best. A tea worthy of worship belongs in a biodegradable "tea temple" - our spacious, transparent bag allowing maximum room for perfect infusion.
- We only use big, quality, whole leaves. No dust. Big leaf = Big flavour. Simple.
- 100% natural. No artificial flavourings.
- Our tea temples are plastic-free and nice and roomy.
- We give back to the communities that bring us our tea.

Great Earl Grey
Excellent flavour, no complaints.
Used to be great, now taste of nothing
Not entirely sure what happened here - I have been drinking these for 4 years and used to love the strong earl grey taste. My latest batch had absolutely zero earl grey flavour in the slightest. Switched to Brew Tea Co earl grey which has reassured me I didnt lose my taste with COVID, and it must be TeaPigs instead. Shame, as I enjoy most of their other teas
half the bags break
Agree with other reviews. The bags rip very frequently, either just from taking out of the packet or if you try to pull the dipping string. Renders them useless unless you want to drink tea leaves.
wonderful but all the bags break?
The tea is so good but all the bags keep tearing, even just being taken out of the box sometimes. Very annoying :(
Quality has deteriorated
I have purchased teapigs for a while now and theyre normally really lovely, robust flavour and strong bags. The last batch I bought, nearly every tea bag was torn and the few that werent tore whilst brewing. As for the flavour, could barely taste the earl grey. Not sure why theyve changed it, but there are other brands that are competitive enough to make a switch. For £12 this has really annoyed me. I wont be purchasing these again. If you like earl grey, dont bother with these.
Used to be great but
Feel compelled to write a review of these tea bags which I have been purchasing for over 3+ years. The tea in them is lovely, but the tea bags themselves are now so flimsy that over half of my last box were ripped before I even used them rendering them unsuable. Now on to a new box and exactly the same thing For one of the most premium (expensive) teas on the market, this is such a let down.
