Tiger Horse Shiraz Mourvedre 75cl
£8.85
£8.85 per 75clProduct information
Victorian naturalists, fascinated by the zebra named it ‘Hippotigris’ meaning ‘Tiger Horse’.
This Tiger Horse is rich, dark and brooding, a blend of spicy Shiraz and full-bodied meaty Mourvedre grapes.
Packed with warm, chocolate notes and a big savoury heart, its spicy red and black fruit aromas with hints of vanilla and cedar combine with good acidity and soft tannins to give lingering, yet mellow finish.
The sweet fruity ripeness is perfect for matching with grilled or barbecued meats, whilst the depth and richness of this wine means it will also match well with casseroles, herby sauces or even a fresh homemade lasagne.

Watery and Tasteless
If you usually love a South African Shiraz or Shiraz Blend then steer clear of Tiger Horse. It's so bland and uncharacteristic of the style. I really didn't enjoy this at all; a very dull bottle of wine.
Very quaffable wine
My wine of choice from Ocado used to be porcupine ridge but that seemed to disappear with Waitrose. Bought this based on it being a South African Shiraz that sounded similar. Very close in taste to porcupine ridge but I do think it's overpriced by around £2 so will watch for offers
Would not buy again
Quite a sour taste from the tannins didnt really enjoy.
Easy drinking red and great value
We really enjoy this red... it is very easy to drink and great value, especially when on offer. We buy it regularly.
