its ok
This rice cooks well, however its not as tasty as the blue Tilda basmati rice and I dont think its any easier. The grains in this appear to be bigger and I think it tastes more like long grain rice. I will stick to the traditional basmati in future
Love this rice
This rice is absolutely delicious and as it says so easy. It never fails cooks perfectly every single time, doesn’t stick. It’s the only dry rice I buy and so glad I discovered this years ago. It’s so versatile and a bag will always be found in the cupboard. Best all round rice. LOVE IT!
Longer cook
Can someone explain to me why easy cook rice takes longer to cook than normal basmati? The rice I guess is ok, but it has tat precooked taste that you get in like rice pilaf. I was sent this as a substitute and I would not buy it again. Fine if you like that flavour and want to cook rice for longer. 15+3 mins as instructions vs 10+3 for regular basmati. Yes I cook it the same as regular rice and don't need the extra time but remind me why it's easycook again...
Best rice!
Love this rice, it cooks really well and never stodgy. The technique that works for me with this rice and not well with others is to put it in the saucepan with loads of cold water, bring to boil and boil uncovered for 10 mins. Drain and cover with foil for 5-10 mins. Lovely grains of rice every time
Easy to use
Definitely doesn't have obvious flavour of normal basmati (fairly bland actually) but it is definitely quick and easy to cook and the grains stay nice and separated every time.
Poor taste and not up to standard
As per other reviews stick to the Tilda blue version or Waitrose. This is not a true basmati style rice. Is more like American rice. Was really disappointed.
