not your typical barbecue sauce

I agree this is not exactly what i expected, as it does have tomato small pieces and is a bit runny but the taste is amazing. My husband hates most sauces but was so impressed with this one!!

Love the flavour

Like to add a dollop of this to casseroles to add extra depth of flavour. Knocked one star off as expensive.

Something has gone wrong...

My new bottle is runny, with lumps of tomato, slightly spicy and far too light in colour. Can't serve on a plate or over a burger. Big mistake. If this is a new recipe, I'm left with only Epicure in a glass bottle as Stokes has gone a bit strong lately. Ocado, please try to stock more glass or canned sauces!!

cheap lumpy tomato goop

doesn't taste of much, doesnt marinade well, pretty poor effort really. would make an excellent BBQ sauce for people who don't like BBQ sauce

Great for cooking

I do find this barbecue sauce a bit spicy. However, I found a fantastic way to use it. I add it to my cooking, be it a curry, soup or pilau. Simply add about a tablespoon at the onions sautéing stage. Adds a very tasty zing!

Not What I expected

This is more of a slightly spicy ketchup. I wasn't sure to start with as I like others expected a smokey sauce. But I have come to enjoy it more and more and just buying another bottle
