Does not really taste well of truffles
Tried all 3. The oil isn't very nice and there is an odd flavour somewhat close to truffles. Like is someone boiled the product down to only half of what makes a truffle taste / smell like a truffle. The bouquet you would expect from a truffle product isn't present in this. I'd go so far as to say Heinz truffle mayonnaise even does a better job than this product does.
incredible
An expensive but incredibly worthwhile treat. I find myself craving this stuff, on boiled eggs, mashed potato, pasta etc. So pleased I took the plunge and tried this.
awful buttery taste and synthetic flavour
These oils are more synthetic than natural. Ive always gone for high end truffle oils and none have the after taste of butter. I thought truffle hunter mayo was gross with its buttery taste. Well upset Ive spent 18 quid on something I essentially cant bear the taste of.
intense and rewarding taste.
a beautifully presented set with high quality ingredients which add a taste of luxury to pasta dishes in particular.
Really very good
Like others I was asked to review this product and was pleasantly surprised, both by the quality of the product and the price. All three oils are very good whether used in risotto, soup or just as a simple salad dressing. I would consider giving as a gift as the packaging makes it eminently suitable.
Excellent
This is the first time I’ve used truffle oil - tastes great as a dressing, much better than olive oil.
