Brand
San Francisco, the '90s. Flannel shirts, scruffy hair. The smell of fresh-roasted coffee lingers in the air and captivates the senses.
That aroma. It woke up an ambition in us - to bring good coffee to the world.
Fast forward to East London, today. Working with smallholder farmers around the world we source high quality coffee, craft-roasting each batch in our vintage Probat to develop the exquisite flavours. We're now proud roasters for Britain's finest restaurants, cafés - and coffee gourmets like you.
Welcome to our union, enjoy your brew.

Smooth chocolate coffee
This coffee is fantastic. It has easily detectable chocolate notes and survives high pressure without getting bitter. I think it would please both a coffee mainstreamer and a connoisseur. Also great as a cappuccino as the milk intensifies the chocolate notes. My favourite coffee at the moment.
Best of the Best
Nothing matches the flavour and taste of Union coffee.
really bitter and unpleasant flavour
Bought this based on the reviews but its really bitter and has an aftertaste I can only describe as ash like. Would not recommend or buy again.
Good coffee with roast date
I used to buy my coffee directly from the roasters since you can't easily find freshly roasted beans in grocery stores. This coffee comes with the roast date on and it is usually a week old which I am very happy with for my espresso. It is also a delicious and full bodied coffee as others mentioned. If you have a good espresso machine you should go for it and make it your regular.
Simply wonderful
Rich and full bodied without bitterness. I chose these beans as the first ones to use in my new Delonghi Eletta Explore, based on the reviews and the ‘great taste’ award. I’ve been thoroughly spoilt now as I’ve tried others and just don’t want to drink the coffee. It’s very hard to get the beans out again! Currently trying to run these others out of my machine so I can go back to these Union ones!!
Subtle, not acidic, and actually tastes of coffee
There's a reason why the best coffee shops use Union roast, and it shows in this blend. If you are one of the heathens that doesn't like real coffee, but prefers brown liquid that tastes like burnt cigarettes or battery acid, move on. This roast tastes as good as it smells, with subtle notes of chocolate and caramel. Oh, and it doesn't have pretentious packaging or a ridiculous name that makes your house guests cringe.
