Instructions
- If you're using a cafetiere, let the kettle come off the boil, then wet the grounds evenly with a little water before topping up. Give it 4 minutes, then plunge.
- To keep the flavours fresh, transfer brewed coffee to a thermos jug rather than leaving it on the hot plate.
- Make sure your coffee maker is clean as coffee oil build-up will taste stale.

Brand
San Francisco, the 90s. The rumblings of a café culture revolution. The smell of freshly roasted coffee lingered in the air.
That aroma. It woke up an ambition in us - to bring good coffee to the world.
Fast forward to East London, today. We work with smallholder farmers around the world to source high quality coffees, then roast each batch in our vintage Probat to develop their distinctive flavours. We're now proud roasters for Britain's finest restaurants, cafés - and coffee gourmets like you.
Welcome to our union. Enjoy your brew.

Very good
This is lovely coffee, we started grinding our own at the beginning of the pandemic as we couldnt find ground coffee, buying the smaller bags of this, and we havent looked back. The bigger bag is great as we have a pot on the go every day and it lasts ages. The only gripe I have on this particular variety is that the flavour is quite noticeably inconsistent between bags. Its very good quality coffee, and it doesnt stop us buying it, but I would love a more consistent flavour.
Good quality beans - freshly roasted
Great quality medium roast beans - good blend and nice aromas . Have bought on offer but would be happy to pay full price .
Best coffee imho
Love this coffee: its organic which is big plus and love the taste. Have tried lots of coffee brands but we cant move away from this one. Not coffee experts but I think we prefer the South American blends. Its got a good texture, quite strong and smooth, nutty. Its good value in this 1kg size too.
Not very strong
This feels more like a 3 in strength. The taste is ok but it's too weak for my taste.
Smooth but bland
Smooth but quite bland, more like a 3 for strength in my view.
Really good flavour
I use these beans in a coffee machine and whenever I make a cup for visitors they usually ask me "what lovely coffee, which make is this?" To cut down on caffeine intake I mix them with an equal amount of Union de-caf beans and the blend works a treat - simply full of flavour.
