a bit disappointing
This was quite grainy with not a great flavour- its okay with other elements in a sandwich but theres better out there!
This has changed!
this used to be lovely, like edam, now it's changed to taste like the previous vio life 'mature' version. please bring back the original!
Repulsive
This has the most disgusting flavour I've ever tasted. How this can be called a cheese alternative I don't know. It's a pleasureless vomit-like experience, and full of such horrid saturated fats I really cannot understand why anyone can physically eat such filth.
Melts OK for vegan cheese but too salty!
Firstly, this is an issue to get out of the packet! Very fiddly with scissors and I invariably will end up cutting into the product just to get access to it. Secondly, the texture is very plasticky, like something meant for a child's pretend play. Just doesn't look like food, never mind cheese. Thirdly, this does puff up and melt in an oven (fan 160 for 10 mins) but not in the same spread out, puddle like way real dairy cheese usually does. Fourthly, the taste lets it down: it is very, VERY salty! All I can taste is salt. Then the aftertaste is persistently sour , which is disgusting. No, it doesn't taste like cheese either. On a final point, the company should lower the salt from a responsible health standpoint, improve the flavour, texture and improve the packaging. Before they do, I shall not be repurchasing it.
Not quite there yet
Vegan cheese is not quite there yet, this one is imho a one trick pony, good for melting on top of things, but does not really cut the biscuit for anything else.
Nice and mild
This cheese reminds me of edam, which I always liked. Very mild and a similar texture to edam. It has a pleasant taste..
