great alternative
Only problem is that it doesnt melt that well if ur putting it on a burger, still tastes good tho
As far a sliced cheese goes...
Tastes good in a sandwich
doesnt taste of much
This doesnt taste of much so not worth the calories or fat, I havent tried it melted yet
Great substitute for the real thing
As a long term sufferer from gout I have really missed having cheese in my diet. A cheese and ham toastie is so tasty isn't it and VioLife makes a good non-dairy substitute without triggering a gout attack. The flavour is good, very similar to a mature cheddar and seems to get a boost when melted. The melted texture is somewhere between cheddar and processed cheese, it's not unpleasant. If I could eat normal cheese then I would but this is a great second best. Highly recommended by me and if you have gout you should try it, a little bit first just to make sure.
Very disappointing
It tasted completely artificial, which of course it is. I purchased it for someone on a special diet but any resemblance to honest to goodness, real cheese is purely circumstantial. Horrrid.
the best dairy free one
this is the best we have found and i think weve tried them all now!
